We, that would be TITTI and ANN-CHRISTINE, have both been "in dogs" most of our lives. We first met many years ago. At a Dog Show where we were presented by a mutual friend. Titti wanted a Lowchen - and who was I to take her out of that thought! "Sigismund" , Irish Mist Take The A-Train, was her first Lowchen. Got a BiS placing as a puppy, then he decided that "naah, shows are dull" and grew up to be a rather large boy! Nevertheless was he loved and pampered for until he died 2005.
Titti has one son and one daughter and two Grandsons, Sebastian and Oscar. She has been breeding Golden Retrievers "in another life", was very successful with many wins. Now Lowchens and one German Shepherd Dog lives with her and her husband Peder. Who is an one-of-a-kind-man! EVERY animal Titti brings home is met by Peders "AHHH, it's wonderful - didn't they have any more"? MY big disappointment in life is that he hasn't any brother ;-)) AND he refuses to clone himself...
Ann-Christine - that's me, well, to make a long story short; I was raised on a small farm up in the North of Sweden. Moved to "the city" (Umeå) at 16. Have two boys, been married and now I live (alone) with my dogs and 2 cats outside of Umeå.
Started my Kennel in 1984, had my first Lowchen litter in 1986 and also had a couple of Chinese Cresteds litters a few years later. My main breed at that time was Irish Wolfhounds, even though I've had only 4 litters. About fifteen years ago I lost my last I.W.
Lowchens has stayed and will do for many years to come, I hope! Now they are accompanied by a little terrorist in the disguise of an Italian Greyhound, Dervisch On A Sidewalk In Rome aka MINNIE.
In 2004 I managed to persuade Titti to join my prefix and that was a real step forward! We have taken in some new dogs and have great plans for the future, along with my old lines we hope to continue breeding sound Lowchens with attitude and good looks!
In 2007, we "split up", but only in the sense that Titti is waiting for her own prefix! We will still be closely working together. So "we" still means "us"
